Secondary Progressive MS Research Study – Join a Study Evaluating an Investigational Drug that Could Potentially Delay MS Disability Progression
Oakland Neurology Center, along with Profound Research, are enrolling a Multiple Sclerosis study that is assessing an investigational medication to see if it delays disability progression in adults with non-active Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
To be eligible to participate, you must:
- Be 18-60 years of age
- Have a previous diagnosis of Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) and a current diagnosis of Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS)
- Have disability progression without clinical relapses in the last 2 years
- Have an expanded disability studies scale (EDSS) between 3.0-6.5 points
Additional criteria apply.
Qualified participants will receive:
- Study-related care and study intervention at no cost
- Financial compensation for time and reimbursement for travel expenses
Number of visits and duration of study:
- Number of clinic visits vary over a 60-month period, which includes a double-blind treatment period and an open-label treatment period. Double-blind means there is a chance you are assigned to take either the placebo comparator or the investigational study medication. Open-label means there will be no placebo comparator and everyone will receive the investigational study medication.
