Have Elevated Lp(a)? You May Qualify for a Heart Disease Study?
Millenium Cardiology along with Profound Research are enrolling a Heart Disease study that is assessing an investigational medication on the effect of plaque in the coronary arteries.
To be eligible to participate, you must:
- Have elevated Lp(a) levels
- Have a BMI less than 35
- Be 45-80 years of age as follows:

- 45-80 with established heart disease where an event or revascularization took place at least 60 days ago; This can include heart attack, percutaneous coronary revascularization, ischemic stroke, carotid stenting or endarterectomy, or amputation due to atherosclerotic disease, peripheral revascularization
- OR
- 55-80 who are at risk for a first heart event and have the following risk factors:

- Documented Coronary or Peripheral Artery Disease
- OR

- Three of the following:

- Current tobacco use

- Kidney Disease
-

-
-
-
- Diabetes
-
-
-
-
-
- Family history of heart attack or coronary artery bypass surgery

- Not have heart failure
- Never have used Lp(a)-lowering medications
Additional criteria apply.
Qualified participants will receive:
- Study-related care and study medication at no cost
- Financial compensation for time and travel expenses
Number of visits and duration of study:
- 10 clinic visits over a 120-week time period
