Have Elevated Lp(a)? You May Qualify for a Heart Disease Study?

Millenium Cardiology along with Profound Research are enrolling a Heart Disease study that is assessing an investigational medication on the effect of plaque in the coronary arteries. 

To be eligible to participate, you must: 

• Have elevated Lp(a) levels 

• Have a BMI less than 35 

• Be 45-80 years of age as follows: 

• • 45-80 with established heart disease where an event or revascularization took place at least 60 days ago; This can include heart attack, percutaneous coronary revascularization, ischemic stroke, carotid stenting or endarterectomy, or amputation due to atherosclerotic disease, peripheral revascularization 
  • OR 
  • 55-80 who are at risk for a first heart event and have the following risk factors:  

• • • Documented Coronary or Peripheral Artery Disease 
    • OR 

• • • Three of the following: 

• • • • Current tobacco use 

• • • • Kidney Disease 

• • • • Diabetes 

• • • • Family history of heart attack or coronary artery bypass surgery 

• Not have heart failure 

• Never have used Lp(a)-lowering medications 

Additional criteria apply. 

Qualified participants will receive: 

• Study-related care and study medication at no cost 

• Financial compensation for time and travel expenses 

Number of visits and duration of study: 

• 10 clinic visits over a 120-week time period
